Tips |
|
Use your VCR or DVR to record
the Comcast Spotlight Real Estate Show on Cable
channel 12. Then fast forward to the area and price you are
looking for. Pause the tape when you need to write down
information about a house you like. |

Look for a
graphic next to homes that are new on the website in the last 30
days.
Spokanebyowner does not populate our website with homes that sold
months ago. Homes that are sold show the closing date (if
known) under the sold graphic. |

Welcome to Spokane!
If you are relocating to
Spokane, it may be hard to know where to start.
Perhaps we can provide you with
a couple of perspectives.
To begin with,
it’s nice to have a basic overview of the area.
If you check out
Wikipedia's article on
Spokane you will find a good overview.
The section on Spokane neighborhoods is very helpful
as it gives a good idea of how a Spokane resident would
describe each
neighborhood. Also, you might need help with some of the neighborhood
lingo. The North and South areas are divided by I90. The South is generally referred to
as "The South Hill". The North is divided into Northeast and Northwest by
Division Street. The north end of town is usually considered to be "The Y". This
is where HWY 395 and HWY 2 (Newport HWY) split off from Division Street. East of
Spokane is Spokane Valley. This area just became its own municipality, so some
people will still refer to it as "The Valley". Another great place to check out is
The Spokane
Chamber of Commerce
website. They have a very thorough
relocation packet and a lot of helpful
resources..
